Customization

Clinical Data Technologies provides report templates that include pre-built menus and layouts, standard response options, and embedded formatting to help facilitate clinician data entry functions. Caregivers can further customize these templates to most-accurately reflect their preferred approaches to clinical documentation. These powerful, customization tools are built into the system and are designed to let providers modify the software to fit their practice workflow, rather than the reverse. We also provide hand-holding support and may have our technicians customize the software for those providers who prefer a quicker start.

Clinical Data Technologies also develops customized controlled medical vocabularies for medical specialties, such as those embedded in its EMRLD™ product. Clinical Data Technologies begins with third party vocabulary and language files, and then generates specialized medical vocabularies that are generated from over a year's worth of medical dictation in practice. Our unique approach to integration of voice recognition capabilities in our software results in enhanced vocabulary as well as language files for all medical and surgical specialties.

In addition, Clinical Data Technologies creates custom commands to maneuver our specialty-focused programs by voice, and to automate the tasks that generate  reports such as surgical endoscopy or imaging reports. These commands throughout the program are designed to save steps and streamline the data entry process. For example, one command will insert a prescribed drug into the report text in both the Medications and Recommendations sections simultaneously, into the patient instruction sheet, and into the database for later reporting, analysis, transmission to the pharmacy, and refilling. This is all done with one click. The goal of this design is to give the physician a workflow that requires ridiculously simple input - and with complex code underneath, transforms this input into relational data for powerful output.
